Should I schedule my visits with a specific doctor?

Best practices for scheduling your visits at Lazar Spinal Care.

Great question! We recommend scheduling at the time that works best for you.  Since our doctors work as a unified team, it won't matter who you consult with.  The doctors meet and review every case together, so you never have to worry about which doctor you see.  We do this to serve you better.  We noticed over the years that if someone insisted on a specific doctor, that patient's schedule would get re-arranged, and as a patient, that's annoying.

Instead, our doctors train and meet so we can serve you when it works best with your schedule - not our doctors'.

On future visits, you can tell our team whether you want your schedule to reflect the following:

  • No preference - you'll schedule with whichever doctor is available at the time(s) you want.  This is our default scheduling method unless you tell us otherwise.
  • (Specific Doctor) Preferred - means you choose a specific doctor (you would specify which doctor), and you'll be scheduled with that doctor when possible.  If that doctor is out of the office, whether planned or unexpected, your appointment will automatically be moved to another doctor's schedule.  If the doctor you prefer is running behind, our team will ask if you'd like to see another available doctor or wait for your preferred one.
  • (Specific Doct0r) ONLY - this means you'll only see the doctor you specify.  We never recommend this because it's the least convenient for patients.  If that doctor is available when you schedule but becomes unavailable (meeting went long, was scheduled recently to speak or teach, family emergency, etc), you'll have to reschedule your appointment.  We're more than happy to do this for you, it can just be annoying and inconvenient for you. If your specified doctor becomes unavailable, we will reach out to you and ask if you want to see another doctor or reschedule your appointment for a different time (when your specified doctor is available).

Regardless of your chosen scheduling method, you must stay on your prescribed adjustment schedule.  Altering your schedule is the easiest way to ensure you will not get the results we're working so hard for.
